Hello everyone! today I am going to be telling you how to make homemade clay so that you can form it, make clay charms, or make decorations from it! the clay I am going to be teaching you to make is called salt dough clay.  the  things you will need are salt, flour, vegetable oil, water, and a big bowl. for measuring cups you will need a tablespoon, a 1/2 cup, and 1 cup. Ok, so first you will take a bowl and put 1 cup of water in it, next you will add either 1 or 2 cups of flour depending on how much clay you want to make. Next if you put 2 cups you will put half of that amount for salt into the bowl, so 1 cup of salt, or if you used 1 cup of flower, 1/2 cup of salt. Than to soften the dough only use 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. after you have added all the ingredients you have to need the dough with your fingers to make it into a pastey clay like form. if your dough is too watery add more flour, if your dough is too tough add more water. after needing and adjusting the amount of ingredients in it let it sit a couple of minutes so that it is not as watery, and easier to form. And than you have salt dough! Remember to put the clay in a plastic Ziploc or other bag and put it in the fridge when you are done using it so that it does not dry up. have fun!
