Ocean at the End of the Lane Book Review
Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman is definitely one of the best books I have read all year. During a funeral the main character decides to travel back to where his childhood house once stood. Mysteriously he ends up at a house at the end of his lane and talking to an old woman who he knew when he was a child. This house was where his friend Lettie Hempstock lived before she left to a far away lace. The man than remembers her duck pond and goes to the back of the house to see it. As he sits watching the pond he falls into memories of his childhood. A childhood filled with mystery and magic and horror and so much more. Over all this book was amazingly written and the ending was astounding.
